Built in 1925 the historic Multnomah Falls Lodge , which is run by a concessionaire, is well maintained with bathrooms, a visitor center, snack bar, and a restaurant that is fully ADA accessible. Inside the lower level of Multnomah Falls Lodge is a USDA Forest Service Information Center, a snack bar, and a gift shop. In the upper portion of the lodge is a restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. The restaurant is open daily for dinning between 9:00 am and 6:00 pm. The restaurant is also accessible by elevator.

The trail to the top of the falls and the loop to Wahkeena falls is open for hikers. The hike is steep and strenuous. Please bring water and food and wear appropriate clothing and footwear.

A timed reservation ticket is necessary to manage traffic congestion and provide safe access to Multnomah Falls and the Lodge. Timed reservation tickets are per person tickets required to enter the site. Once on site, visitors are welcome to stay as long as they like to explore the falls, the lodge and the trails. All visitors to Multnomah Falls over the age of 2 will require a ticket, except visitors who access the site via bicycle. You may reserve up to 6 tickets per day. Need to Know

  • Entering in the Park

    Timed Reservation Tickets are required between 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. daily between July 20, 2021 and September 19, 2021. Please have the printed or digital copy of your reservation ticket available to be checked at the entrance station.

  • Access

    Please use the Interstate 84 parking lot at Exit 31 to access Multnomah Falls and the Historic Lodge. Parking is extremely limited on the Historic Columbia River Highway and stopping or drop offs in front of the Lodge will not be allowed.

  • Parking

    A Timed Reservation Ticket does not gurantee parking. Visit the Oregon Department of Transportation TripCheck page to see updated images of the parking area located adjacent to I-84 (click I-84, then Multnomah Falls Parking).

  • Shuttle Services

    Timed Reservation Tickets are not required if you choose to ride Sasquatch Shuttle , Gray Line Open-Air Waterfall Hop-On Hop-Off Trolley and Columbia Gorge Express Transit . By choosing one of these services you can ensure access to Multnomah Falls and enjoy the scenerary without the hassle of driving and finding a parking space. You are also not required to have a timed reservation ticket if you access the site on your bicycle.

  • Entrance Times

    Please arrive as close to your 1 hour time slot as possible, starting at the time indicated on the ticket. You may not enter the site prior to your reservation and your ticket becomes invalid 1 hour after time indicated.

    You may stay longer then an hour, however if you leave after your time slot you will not be allowed to enter the site without a valid ticket for a subsequent times slot.

  • Reservation Requirements

    Tickets must be purchased online at Recreation.gov or using the Recreation.gov mobile app. Timed reservation tickets will not be sold on-site.

  • Reservation Limits

    Visitor are allowed to purchase up to 6 tickets per transaction. Tickets must be purchased at least a day in advance of your visit.

Booking Windows

Primary Booking Window: Timed reservation tickets are available 14 days in advance of the day of your arrival at 7 a.m. PT. on a rolling daily window. Example: On August 27, reservations will be available for September 10.

Secondary Booking Window: A limited number of timed reservation tickets will become available 48 hours in advance of the day of your arrival at 7 a.m. PT on a rolling daily window. Example: On September 2, reservations will be available for September 4; on September 3, reservations will be available for September 5.

Changes and Cancellations

There is a $1.00 non-refundable reservation fee per timed reservation ticket.

Cancellation and Changes

You may cancel your ticket up until midnight the day before your reservation. There are no refunds for the $1.00 reservation fee per ticket. Changes cannot be made. You must cancel your reservation and create a new reservation; all fees apply.
